Tired of mystery ingredients? Try Credo Seascape Ceramide Body Serum

The Wake-Up Call

As a mom of three, I’ve always been mindful about which bodycare products I buy for my children. I carefully check ingredient lists, making sure to use only the cleanest soaps, sunscreens and lotions on my kids’ sensitive skin. But recently I began to wonder, what about me? I had never stopped to check the ingredients in the products I used on myself. I started reading labels and frankly was appalled at what I discovered. My bodycare contained problematic chemicals that have been linked to everything from cancer to reproductive issues. I knew it was time for a change.

My Instagram feed is full of enterprising women who cheerily make their own beauty products using wholesome ingredients like honey and coconut oil. I would LOVE to be one of those women, confidently lining my shelves with mason jars full of homemade goodness, but honestly, who’s got the time? Between work, the kids’ schedules, and trying to fit in a yoga session, I’m lucky if I even have time to shower. So what’s the solution?

Enter Credo Beauty: Clean, Luxurious, and Effortles

Enter Credo Beauty, a company dedicated to producing only products with clean, responsibly-produced ingredients and packaging. Each item they sell must pass the Credo Clean Standard for safety and sustainability. And, honestly, their products are so luxurious to use that I’m never going back to my old ways.

The Body Serum That Feels Like a Spa

My current favorite is the Credo Seascape Ceramide Body Serum, a moisturizer so rejuvenating it has seriously elevated my whole post-shower routine. Every time I step out of my shower and put it on, I feel like I’m at a high-end spa. The lovely “marine citrus” fragrance reminds me of a beautiful beach, and its ingredient list is packed with plant-based heroes from the sea as well. Its star ingredient is regeneratively-farmed sugar kelp harvested by the woman-founded Atlantic Sea Farms in Maine. This powerhouse plant is fermented to boost its potency and absorption into the skin, hydrating and protecting skin’s natural barrier. Other key ingredients include red algae extract to lift and firm and polyglutamic acid to promote hydration.

This serum is packaged in a classy black pump bottle and available for $52 from Credo. I know, I know, you’re gasping at the price, but hear me out: it’s WORTH IT. After just a week of daily use, I have noticed a big difference in the state of my skin. My whole body feels soft, smooth and firmer than it did before. I love that it’s a serum, not a heavy lotion or cream, with a light but moisturizing texture that leaves me feeling hydrated all over. It’s so gentle, I’ve started using it on my eczema-prone kids after their baths, and don’t think I haven’t noticed that lately even my husband has started smelling like a fresh ocean breeze.

Sustainable Inside and Out

I love how every part of this product has been carefully considered, right down to the bottle, which is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. Is there anything Credo can’t do? For this busy mom who wants the best for her family without toiling over a bunch of mason jars, this body serum is a no-brainer.
